My personal experiences align with these ideas. In my 20s I had a captivating and extremely controlling boyfriend. He convinced me it was a good idea to shave my head. He shaved it for me. Prior to that, I had long hair my entire life, never went to salons for trims and never dyed it. I wholeheartedly believe I was much easier to control after my hair was cut. It took about 4 years to grow to a length comparable to before but, all is well now.
I am all about any post that highlights the magic of intuition.
Also, I think it's interesting that Sikhs wear turbans to literally protect their hair from the elements, not just to signal piety... I didn't realize that they aim to keep it completely unaltered from birth to death.
